Module 4 - A+ Accessibility - practical, low-cost steps to become more welcoming

People who have a disability are part of our community. They are our family, friends, neighbours, customers, and colleagues. This workshop will explore how your organisation can be more aware of and provide a more accessible environment for people with disabilities. It will apply to accessibility for all people with disabilities, however they interact with your business. This might be as a customer, staff member or an employee of a partner organisation.

Whatever the relationship between yourself and the person with a disability, this workshop aims to provide you with some simple and practical tips to guide you in your understanding of and commitment to good accessible design and solutions.
The main focus of this session is to explore Accessibility and how small business and organisations can make small changes to increase the accessibility of their premises and access to goods and services. Good access is good business.

In this module, we aim:
- To explore what is meant by the term “Accessible”
- To consider the business case for making your organisation accessible and recognising the value it can bring to your business
- To understand exactly what accessibility is and its impact on people who access the service
-  To identify strengths and weaknesses of your own business and practical strategies to improve accessibility for people with disabilities.

You will also learn why becoming more disability-inclusive makes great business sense.

This training is free to attend, but spaces are limited. Register for your spot today!
Don't miss out on this opportunity to learn how to make your tourism business more inclusive for everyone!
