Disability Inclusive Pathways Conference 2024

Event description

The fourth New Zealand Disability Employers’ Network (NZDEN) Disability Inclusive Pathways Conference presents an exceptional opportunity to gain insights from prominent disability in business experts, establish connections with other organisations dedicated to advancing disabled and neurodivergent career paths and outcomes, and fostering a truly disability confident and inclusive Aotearoa.

This year's conference theme, ''Orchestrating a Disability Inclusive Workplace Culture'' is about coordinating the elements of workplace cultures to facilitate the inclusion of disability and neurodiversity.  Together we will explore the purpose of disability and neurodiversity inclusion, the opportunities that disability inclusion provides, and the success that it brings to the organisation, the disabled community, and the individual.

By orchestrating a disability inclusive culture, organisations will learn to improve the well-being of all employees, express appreciation for the value that disabled individuals bring, and show leadership within the organisation and its industry.

Attendees will uncover ways to create an inclusive culture that can support and empower disabled and neurodiverse New Zealanders in their employment. We will work together to orchestrate an organisational culture of true belonging and equity for disabled people in the workplace.

    • Explore the profound impact of cultivating a robust disability and neurodiversity inclusive workplace culture. Learn how these efforts benefit not only the organisation but also contribute to the well-being of disabled individuals and the broader community of Aotearoa.
    • Connect with a dynamic network of business leaders, diversity, and human resources professionals, industry experts, and influencers across public, private, and for-purpose sectors.
    • Gain insights from prominent disability experts, seasoned practitioners, and individuals with lived experience, featuring inspirational international and local speakers.

More details including speakers and the agenda will be released on our NZDEN Disability Inclusive Pathways Conference website.

In addition to the two-day conference, we are excited to bring a half-day pre-conference masterclass, "Persuading Disbelievers: How to Build Allies in Your Senior Leaders". Join us for an engaging masterclass led by the esteemed Susan Scott-Parker OBE, world renowned for her expertise in promoting disability inclusion and equality in organisations. In this transformative session, Susan will share invaluable insights on creating meaningful connections with senior leaders and effectively establishing change models within your organisation.

This year there will be a dinner option to attend on the Tuesday 6th August at 7.00pm. The dinner will be an opportunity for networking with business leaders, diversity and human resources professionals, industry experts and influencers from the public, private, and for-purpose sectors.
