Event description

Roads Australia's Emerging Leaders Breakfast series is back. This year, we're offering young transport professionals the opportunity to network with their peers, gain sector knowledge and hear leadership insights from public sector leaders.

At our Perth event, you'll hear from Ashley Vincent, Deputy Director General, Office of Major Infrastructure Delivery (OMID), Department of Transport and Major Infrastructure (DTMI). Ashley will reflect on his career in the transport and infrastructure sector, share his tips for emerging leaders and the opportunities ahead in Western Australia.

This is an informal event with no assigned seating to provide an opportunity for the next generation of our industry's leaders to network.

Sponsored by CPB Contractors, our Emerging Leaders Program supports the industry's next generation of leaders by providing them with unique networking and learning opportunities.

OUR SPEAKER
Ashley Vincent, Deputy Director General, Office of Major Infrastructure Delivery (OMID), Department of Transport and Major Infrastructure (DTMI)

Ashley Vincent is an experienced infrastructure and utility executive with success in leading large and technically diverse teams across a geographically expansive operating environment. He has a wealth of experience in strategy development and execution, enhancing stakeholder relationships, building great teams and leading the implementation of change programs to deliver better outcomes.

As Managing Director of METRONET, he oversaw the single largest investment in public transport in Western Australia, delivering approximately 72 kilometres of new passenger rail and 23 new stations.

On 1 July 2025, Ashley was appointed Acting Deputy Director General of the newly established Office of Major Infrastructure (OMID) within the Department of Transport and Major Infrastructure, following the 2025 reform of State Government departments in Western Australia. Ashley oversees the planning and delivering of major infrastructure projects that benefit all Western Australians, from new hospitals, sports and entertainment venues to transport upgrades and facilities for training, justice, and research.
