Face to Face Workshop: Engaging with Older Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander People


This workshop will explore:

  • Understanding Protocols and challenging stereotypes

  • Impact of Colonisation: Intergenerational trauma, dispossession, kinship and resilience

  • Building Empathy: Listening to lived experience and perspectives of Aboriginal people

  • Working Respectfully with Elders: Building trust and rapport

  • Aged Care Accessibility: Strategies to make services more accessible for Aboriginal families and communities

  • Practical Application: Applying learning to case scenarios
