Ethiopian Basket Weaving with Lem Lem


Tuesday 15 July
10am to 1pm
Suitable for ages 12-18

Discover the beauty and tradition of Ethiopian basket weaving in this hands-on, three-hour workshop with artist and facilitator, Lemlem Atakilt Yigzaw.  

Under Lemlem’s guidance, participants will be taught traditional weaving techniques to create the start of their own handwoven basket to take home. Along the way, learn about the cultural significance of basket weaving in Ethiopia and how these practices connect communities and generations. 

No experience needed. All materials provided.  

Spaces are limited, so book early to secure your spot.

  • If your child has additional needs or requires extra assistance, please get in touch with us prior to the workshop.
