Winter Moves | Dance Workshop with DRILL Performance Company
Event description
Want to warm up your winter?
Come dance it out with us at our 2-hour movement workshop for ages 9–12 – no experience needed, just a willingness to move and have fun!
Wednesday 09 July
10am – 12pm
Suitable for 9-12 year olds
We’ll kick things off with some easy warm-up games, then jump into learning some funky and fun choreography. After that, you'll get to team up and create your very own movement pieces – it’s all about creativity, connection, and having a blast.
Whether you’ve danced before or are totally new, this workshop is all about trying something new, sharing ideas, and moving together in cool and creative ways.
Led by Tara Robertson, Artistic Director of DRILL Performance – Nipaluna/Hobart’s youth dance company, where young people take the lead as performers and creators.
Come along, get moving, and shake off those winter chills – we can’t wait to dance with you!
Participants need to bring comfy cloths to move in, a snack, and a water bottle
If your child has additional needs or requires extra assistance, please get in touch with us prior to the workshop
Please complete a Workshop Participant Form before arriving on the day.
