Family and Domestic Violence Awareness Workshop
Event description
This free workshop is designed for people in roles that deal directly or indirectly with family and domestic violence. This can include those who work in health, allied health, AOD, education, childcare and government organisation and community organisations in paid or volunteer work. This workshop is for anyone looking to increase their knowledge and awareness in family and domestic violence that helps to create safety for women and children.
This 1/2 day workshop hosted by Stopping Family Violence will cover the following topics:
- What does it mean to be family and domestic violence informed
- Key components of family and domestic violence informed practice
- Contributing factors to family and domestic violence
- Intersections of family and domestic violence of mental health & alcohol and other drugs
- How can services collaborate better for increased safety
This will be an interactive workshop with the opportunity to ask questions and network with other participants.
