FEAST: multicultural, multi-faith LGBTIQA+ stories

Sunday March 24, 12-2pm

    Come and feast on multicultural, multi-faith LGBTIQA+ stories, poetry and readings followed by a multicultural feast. Speakers include Alushka Rajaram, Alyena Mohummadally, and Vitor Rocha.

    • Alyena Mohummadally is a Pakistani-Australian queer Muslim woman and mother, who founded the Queer Muslims Group and is AGMC Vice-President.
    • Hailing from the shores of the Indian Ocean in South Africa, Alushka Rajaram is a spoken word poet, writer and activist.
    • Vitor Rocha is a gay Brazilian born, overseas medical trained GP, researcher and Palliative Care public health advocate in regional Victoria.
    • Queer Refugee and Asylum Seeker from Many Coloured Sky will discuss their experiences and the current situation for LGBTIQ+ asylum seekers and refugees.
    • Apolosi Lasei is a Pacific Islander human rights activist, LGBTIQ advocate and on the Victorian Multicultural Commission Loddon Mallee Regional Advisory Committee.
    • MC Alexandr Teh is a Chinese-Australian gay man who is President of the Australian GLBTIQ Multicultural Council and passionate LGBTIQ+ Multicultural multi-faith advocate.
