About the Show
fish|boy is a theatrical clown work centered around the precarious friendship between a boy and his pet fish. Think My Octopus Teacher meets Blackfish meets Patti LuPone’s (unhinged) rendition of Rose’s Turn in Gypsy. Playful, funny, and tender, fish|boy explores the slippery border between care and control. Audio Description & Tactile Tour: Saturday 29 Aug, 7pm
Audio Description is an accessibility service for people who are blind or have low vision. It provides spoken descriptions of important visual information during a performance, including actions, facial expressions, costumes, set design, lighting, projections, and scene changes. The descriptions are delivered live through a headset, allowing audience members to follow visual elements that are not communicated through dialogue or sound alone.
Tactile Tour performances will happen pre-show so please note that you will be required to arrive early for these performances. Details will be sent to ticket holders that wish to attend the tactile tours ahead of the relevant shows.
For the Auslan interpreted performances, a block of seats is reserved for users of this service to ensure a good view of the interpreter and the stage. If you wish to be seated in this area for these performances, please indicate on the check box when purchasing your ticket online. You can also speak to Front of House on the evening.
