Event description

Cultivate Energy, Strength, and Balance with White Tiger Qigong

This is a series of 6 Wednesday sessions, 6pm to 7pm at the Minor Works Building, 22 Stamford Court, Adelaide, 5000.

What is Qigong?
Qigong (pronounced “chee-gong”) is the art of cultivating vital life energy ("Qi") through movement, breath, and intention. Rooted in Taoist Medical Qigong, this ancient practice draws from Classical Chinese Medicine, Lao Tzu’s Taoist philosophy, the I-Ching, and the natural world’s rhythms. At White Tiger Qigong Academy, we fuse these timeless practices with modern sport and exercise science to create a dynamic system for enhancing health, vitality, and emotional well-being.

How Can Qigong Work for Me?
Qigong offers a wealth of benefits, including:

  • Deep relaxation and stress relief

  • Sharpened focus and mental clarity

  • Boosted energy and vitality

  • Enhanced range of motion and mobility

  • Improved sleep quality

  • Strengthened immune system

  • Greater physical strength and stamina

  • Enhanced digestion and internal balance

Why Practice Qigong?
Through Qigong exercises, breathing techniques, and meditations, you'll empower yourself to:

  • Cultivate deeper self-awareness

  • Foster emotional resilience and self-love

  • Self-regulate your energy and emotions

  • Find balance across body, mind, and spirit

  • Restore and maintain health

  • Enhance your overall well-being

  • Experience personal freedom and peak performance

Scientific studies show that stress markers in the body can significantly decrease after just one Qigong session! Many people report feeling more grounded, energised, and mentally clear even after their very first practice.

What Will We Practice Together?
In this course, we will strategically pair a 5 Element form with one of its 5 Animal Qigong counterparts, amplifying the transformative power of each practice. Our journey includes:

  • Standing and Seated Meditation + Breathing Techniques
Build deep internal awareness and revitalise your energy from within.

  • Meridian Qigong
A flowing, accessible set that enhances Qi flow and can be used alone or as a dynamic warm-up for deeper work.

  • 5 Element Qigong
Designed to nourish and harmonise the body’s major organs and meridians through powerful expansion, contraction, rooting, and spiral movements, aligned with Classical Chinese Medicine's 5 Element Theory. You'll also learn a 5 Element Emotional Balance Meditation to harmonise emotional energies.

  • 5 Animal Qigong
A dynamic, 2,000-year-old practice inspired by the fluid, instinctual movements of animals. These walking forms work on physical, physiological, emotional, and mental levels, bringing profound vitality and balance.

By combining the elemental wisdom of the 5 Elements with the embodied energy of the 5 Animals, you will experience an integrated approach to Qigong that empowers deep transformation on every level.
