Description
Wellbeing Breakfast for Social Entrepreneurs
Sustaining the people behind the purpose
7am-10am, Tuesday, 18 November
Running a business for good can be deeply rewarding - but also incredibly demanding. While social enterprises aren’t frontline services, their work often means supporting people in crisis or tackling complex social challenges, all while juggling the day-to-day realities of running a business. It’s meaningful work - but it can also be exhausting. Balancing care, impact, and commercial sustainability takes a real emotional toll.
Join us for a morning of connection and conversation at our Founder Wellbeing Breakfast, designed to help you recharge and reflect.
We’ll be joined by Kay Foss from Founder Families, a wellbeing specialist who has counselled high-performance athletes, lived the scale-up journey, and understands burnout firsthand. Kay will share practical ways to support mental wellbeing, manage stress, and sustain energy while leading purpose-driven work.
We’ll also hear from Mel Novak at Beyond Blue, who’ll share insights into NewAccess for Small Business Owners - a free, confidential coaching program that helps leaders and entrepreneurs look after their mental health while juggling the day-to-day pressures of running a business.
From7.30am, Anita Emor will guide a calming morning sound bath focused on restorative, awakening frequencies, with quiet reflection to close. After discovering sound baths during a period of high stress in Los Angeles, she drew on her musical training and Indonesian heritage to create Emora Suara, helping people reset and find balance.
You can also explore social enterprise pop-ups from:
Mettle Women Inc - luxury gift boxes supporting women rebuilding after FDV
Plenty Gifting - nutritious meal-based gifting that donates a meal to someone in need with every purchase
This session will be practical, engaging and reflective - offering social entrepreneurs and a genuine sense of support, connection, and a few simple tools to help sustain their wellbeing long-term. Enjoy coffee, light breakfast bites, and open conversation with others who understand what it takes to build a business that makes a difference.
