Unlock the power of Generative AI in this engaging four-part workshop series designed to empower faculty with cutting-edge skills and knowledge for the future of education.

Part 1: Getting Ready for Generative AI
Have you heard about generative AI but don’t really understand what all the hype is about? This session is deigned for people who want to learn more about GenAI, its practical use, evaluating when to use or not to use GenAI and the Ethics of use for themselves and their students. 

Through engaging in the activities and content of this workshop, you have the opportunity to  

  • Understand the basic concepts of Generative AI.  

  • Recognize the potential applications and ethical considerations of Generative AI.  

  • Identify where GenAI is and is not effective. 

Part 2: Generative AI in the Classroom: Integrating Generative AI into Educational Activities
AI in the Classroom: Integrating Generative AI into Educational Activities 

Are you interested in exploring how to enrich your teaching methods with Generative AI? This workshop will provide an overview of AI in education, and share some practical applications for bringing GenAI to your courses. Case studies will be explored.  

Through engaging in the activities and content of this workshop, you have the opportunity to  

  • Ability to integrate AI tools into educational teaching activities.  

  • Understand the benefits and challenges of using AI in education.  

  • Gain practical knowledge through case studies of AI integration in education. 

Part 3: Generative AI Out of the Classroom
Discover how Generative AI can transform your out of class operations. In this Workshop we will explore how GenAI can be your creative partner, your collaborator and a tool for building efficiency and effectiveness in more repetitive tasks. We will look at adopting GenAI to build lesson plans, craft Rubrics, create specific case studies, and craft media for presentations, allowing you to refocus your efforts where they are needed most. 

Through engaging in the activities and content of this workshop, participants will have the opportunity to  

  • Understand how to apply AI in various office practices.  

  • Learn about the transformative impact of AI on creative and logistical tasks.  

  • Gain insights into the use of data analysis for research.
