Great Southern Bioblitz
Event description
The Great Southern Bioblitz is an annual citizen science initiative undertaken across the southern hemisphere and this year there’s a site at Lake Canobolas.
Event details:
As part of Orange Biodiversity Month, join Local Land Services and Central Tablelands Landcare to listen, watch, hunt and scour the natural environments at Lake Canobolas.
Everyone is welcome. The new lakeside track and toilets are wheelchair accessible.
BYO morning tea and lunch, or grab some at the Lakeside Kiosk & Cafe.
Children under 15 must be accompanied by a responsible adult as we will be walking near water.
This event has been provided by Central Tablelands Landcare and Local Land Services and is part of Central Tablelands Biodiversity Month.

Please dress for the conditions and wear sturdy shoes.
Bring a device and download the iNaturalist app to your device before you come so you can record your sightings.
