Turn weeds into wonders! Learn to weave baskets or wreaths from invasive vines while helping protect local bushland in this hands-on outdoor workshop.
Event description:
Help protect our native bushland from invasive vines like Ivy and Honeysuckle by learning how to harvest these weeds and transform them into a basket or wreath to take home.
This hands-on workshop will teach you how to gather and prepare materials, and give you the skills to continue your weaving practice at home.
All participants will leave with a completed basket or wreath base. Light refreshments will be provided.
A creative and eco-friendly activity perfect for the school holidays that also supports local biodiversity.
This event is part of Central Tablelands Biodiversity Month.
Additional details:
This event will be held outdoors, please wear appropriate clothing and sun protection.
There is limited seating, so bring a camp chair or stool if you do not want to sit on the grass.
Kids are welcome with adult supervision.
