How do forests make us healthy?
How can we make forests healthy?
Why are healthier people better for the planet?
Come together to celebrate forest and human health, experience and learn ways of taking care of our health in nature which can benefit Earth's health, and how healing country heals ourselves.
Featuring a variety of short workshops, walks and talks for children and adults by Sunshine Coast organisations at Foote Sanctuary in Buderim (on Kabi Kabi country).
This event is part of National Science Week 2023.

PLEASE NOTE:
- Workshops have limited capacity so register now to book your place in one (button TOP RIGHT) and on the day you may join as many as are available.
- Parking spaces are limited. How will you come to the activity day? Pledge to leave the car at home, or pack it full of family, friends & neighbours and be prepared for a wander through the suburb - for all of our health.

- 12:30pm Frog habitats, ECOllaboration - Come on a journey with ECOllaboration to find out about frog habitats, how to find frogs in the wild (Ages 6+)
- 12:45pm History of the Foote Sanctuary and volunteers' work, Foote Sanctuary Association (ages 12+)
- 1:15pm Forest bathing, Heartwood Nature Bathing (all ages)
- 2:00pm Plant ID walk, Ken Cross, Backyards for Biodiversity SEQ & Birdlife Sunshine Coast (all ages)

Activities
- 11:15am Nature crafting and play, Wildlings Forest School (all ages)
- 12:00pm BUG CLUB - Observing and collecting data on insects. BUG CLUB is especially designed for amateur or budding entomologists. The idea is to get outside and marvel at the fascinating world of invertebrates with fellow insect enthusiasts! BUG CLUB will also give participants a chance to be citizen scientists by collecting field-based data on insect populations. Our aim is to inspire and bring together a community of natural scientists and insect ambassadors. Mooloolah River Landcare (Ages 6+)
- 1:00pm Frog habitats, ECOllaboration - Join ECOllaboration to find out about frog habitats, and how to build your own frog friendly habitat. (Ages 6+)
- 1:45pm Nature Journaling for self care - Petra Meer (Ages 12+)
- 2:15pm Rewilding Futures - Waking up the Wild Parts of our Brain - Techniques for futures thinking help us unlock preferable futures so come along and experience the power of visioning and story. - Dr Marcelle Holdaway, USC (Ages 12+)
