Event description

Turn your home schooling day into an exciting and unforgettable adventure, exploring the unique ecosystems of the stunning Blue Mountains Botanic Garden.

Our immersive, hands-on sessions will spark curiosity and wonder while aligning seamlessly with the Science & Technology and Geography syllabuses. Students will engage in scientific investigations to develop observation and recording skills while discovering the natural uses of native plants. They will explore the growth, survival, and adaptation of living things. We celebrate sustainability and diversity through western and Indigenous scientific concepts to investigate, identify, and record the amazing power of plants. Through dedicated First Nations content, your children will gain a deeper understanding of Country, connection, and culture. Imagine your children diving into hands-on experiences, making new friends, and learning alongside their peers in a beautiful, natural setting. This outdoor learning experience with other like-minded young explorers is more than just a school day; it's an opportunity to ignite a lifelong passion for science and the environment. Book your tickets today and give your children the gift of discovery!

This program is designed for K-12 with three concurrent programs for students learning at lower primary, upper primary and high school levels.

Please note: Children must be supervised by a responsible adult on the day.

While there is flexibility to book students into any of the programs, parents/carers are required to provide supervision for all students at all times. The three groups will be working in different parts of the garden across the day. We strongly recommend arranging supervision for your child/children before the day of the program.
