Housing Queensland looks forward to welcoming you to Meanjin/Brisbane for the Housing First Nations 2024 National Conference on 8–9 October 2024. This conference is set to be the premier policy forum for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander housing and one of the first to be held at The Star Brisbane.

The Housing First Nations 2024 National Conference will bring together Indigenous community housing organisations (ICHOs) from all over Australia along with highly respected speakers, policy-makers, decision-makers, businesses and representative bodies for a two-day event to explore key issues, developments, opportunities and challenges for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander housing in Queensland and across Australia.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Housing Queensland (Housing Queensland) is the peak body for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander housing in Queensland. Established in 2021, we are more than a peak body. We are a leading Australian domestic think tank. A policy creator. An advisor. A strategist. A collaborator and partner. We are content experts on matters that impact Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander housing, accommodation and homelessness in Queensland.

Our members are made up of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community housing providers from across Queensland, but we advocate for the housing interests of all First Nations peoples in Queensland.

We support First Nations people’s right to housing, their right to speak for and manage their own housing, and to participate in decision-making that relates to their housing.
