    Event description

Enjoy a guided experience with Nature Play SA and Uncle Tamaru to celebrate International Day of People with Disability and the Onkaparinga River National and Recreation Parks as NPWS Park of the Month. We will explore the plants and animals that call the park home and its cultural significance to the Kaurna people. From herons and egrets to frogs and water skinks – there are many things to discover!

The trails are accessible to wheelchair users and promises to be interesting and story-filled experience.

International Day of People with Disability

We are also celebrating International Day of People with Disability on Sunday 3 December. We invite everyone to attend this activity and join us to celebrate this significant day.

International Day of People with Disability (IDPWD), is held on 3 December annually and celebrates and raises awareness of people with disability and equitable opportunities in all aspects of life. In 2023, IDPWD is celebrating 31 years since it was announced by the UN General Assembly in 1992.
