Kids School Holiday Workshop: UpCycle School – Picture Frame Edition

We are back Enviro-Heros! Preventing waste from entering our landfills by repurposing and reusing it to create amazing crafts! This time we are upcycling some old picture frames to make message boards, accessory hangers or jewellery holders or something else altogether!

This workshop includes the use of hand tools, house paint and some construction so please be aware of this when booking. All materials supplied in class

Students will need to bring snacks and water for breaks.

Students doing both workshops on the same day can stay until the end of the second workshop, which finishes at 3pm, provided they have their own lunch and drink bottle.

This workshop is subsidized thanks to funding from the Creative Communities Scheme, so you only pay $15 per person (with a booking fee of .75c) instead of $54! Amazing!

Running Tuesday 9th July.9:30-12pm , this workshop will take place in the space behind the Ōtorohanga iSite (21 Maniapoto Street) Entrance to the workshop will be off Wahanui Crescent.

Operating under the umbrella of the Ōtorohanga District Development Board, the Ōtorohanga Creative Conduit is bringing creativity to the community via workshops, events and exhibitions.

The kaupapa of the Ōtorohanga Creative Conduit is to connect communities together, specifically the creative community with the larger community to build constructive relationships for creative people and create pathways to creativity for the community.

We believe creatives should be paid fairly for their skills so the workshops are priced to cover their hours, materials and venue and any extra made is then put back into the kete to reduce the costs of future workshops, to provide free places in some workshops or to put on free events for the community
