Event description
Come and hear how two artists, on separate journeys, have established their professional art careers.
Rhyl Henzell started her artistic career in her teens after training as a graphic designer at art school in Brisbane. On completion of her training Rhyl worked for several major retailers, drawing the fashions of the day! These drawings of stiletto shoes and hip hop flairs, and the stories behind them are fascinating. Come and see some of these drawings and hear how Rhyl’s background in Graphic design and her love of the natural world has inspired her exquisite work that is on display in this exhibition.
Louise Saunders on the other hand, had no formal training, but her love of nature led her to learn to draw and paint Australian wildflowers, with a special love of native orchids. Come and hear how her dedication to paint a large portfolio of work led her to experience wonderful adventures and an idyllic residency at an island eco-resort. Come and hear about the inspiration behind the superb paintings on show in this beautiful joint exhibition.
The talk by Rhyl and Louise starts at 10am followed by a delicious devonshire tea. An event you don’t want to miss.
