Looping, Twining and Cordage making Workshop
Event description
Learn some of the foundational weaving and basketry skills in this sampler class which will enable you to take away valuable knowledge and usable skills which can then be used for many applications and creative projects of your very own making.
During this workshop you will explore different types of looping techniques, how to make your own cordage (string making) and make a small soft twined basket using various plant materials.
What’s included;
All materials and equipment (please feel free to bring along any found objects or adornments that are special to you if you would like to incorporate them into your project)
Nourishing lunch, selection of teas and coffee
Tour of our 1 acre garden oasis where you will learn about harvesting and preparation of plant materials for weaving
Small group sizes allow for plenty of one on one tuition as required
Peaceful and tranquil space, community connection, inspiration and individual creativity is encouraged
