Mainstream Housing Options for People with a Disability
Event description
What housing option is available to you if you are a person with disability, who isn’t eligible for SDA or you don't want to live in shared accommodation? Perhaps you are exploring your eligibility with Individualised Living Options and want to stay in your current rental?
Join the Housing Hub team as we unpack the different mainstream accessible housing options, where to find them and how to apply.
This free online session is for people with disability, their families, and support workers.
Join us and learn about:
- What are the differences between Public Housing, Social Housing, Community Housing and Cooperative Housing?
- Can I request modifications to make these homes accessible?
- What types of home modifications can I request to make it an accessible home for me?
- What do all the acronyms mean – NRAS, SRS, <any others?>?
- Can I still have my supports in a public or community rental?
- What else is out there for me?
Access:
