Make it Yourself Indigo Shibori Dyeing Workshop
Event description
Learn about the magic of dying fabric using the Japanese Shibori technique with artist Amanda Donohue. This workshop will enable you to find out more about this traditional art form and unlock your creativity to produce your own unique pieces.
All materials will be provided to create your own beautiful table napkins (2) or tea towel, plus some other fabric swatches to try different techniques. You are also welcome to bring along one or two or your own small items to dye, such as a cotton tshirt or linen pillow case. Natural fabrics work best and this is a great opportunity to breath new life into old items. Fabrics that you dye can be used to combine into other projects or create items like cushions or scarves.
