Learn how to manage pests and disease in your garden without harmful chemicals and pesticides.

Struggling to keep the grasshoppers and possums from eating your veggies? Come along and learn some strategies to keep insect pests under control, reduce weeds, avoid disease and manage birds and possums all without the use of harmful chemicals and pesticides.

In this workshop you will learn:

• strategies to create a thriving healthy garden with a balanced ecology that reduces pest infestations, weed growth and disease.

• natural insect control and when to intervene

• how to make natural remedies to deter pests

• how weeds can help you in the garden and which ones you can eat

• how to garden in harmony with our wildlife

About the Facilitator

Jenny Kato is a passionate advocate for regenerative agriculture, a permaculture practitioner and designer, and an avid gardener. Jenny teaches on the Permaculture Design Certificate Course at Northey Street City Farm where she also runs a range of workshops. Jenny has her own design business, Living Patterns Permaculture, and has worked with many schools designing school gardens.
