Meet the Author - Rory H. Mather

Amazing Australian children's author Rory H. Mather is coming to visit us! Join us for a bit of fun with him on Sunday 19 November at 2pm in Green Square, Kingston. 

Rory's books are full of joy and are huge hits with kids. Passionate about literacy, Rory says that he tries to write books that will engage young readers so that they will grow up with a love of reading just like he did!

Rory's most recent release is My Little Star, a touching story about loss.

"My sister is a star; I’m not on my own. As long as she looks down on me I’ll never be alone. 

A beautiful and gentle exploration of grief and loss in memory of all the little stars who live in our night sky".

In June, Rory released the humorous and heartwarming, Sebastian Stands Out.

"Sebastian chameleon is always being squished, squashed and stepped on because he blends in. 

After the gazillionth time, he has had enough! Can Sebastian change his chameleon ways and finally stand out?".


Book Week Bear was also published this year and is a fun tale that will have you laughing and rhyming.

"Claire's costume was amazing she had hair and teeth and claws. Plus there was the smell of fish coming from her jaws! 

Claire's bear costume has a lot of flair ... almost enough to give everyone a scare! But is it enough to win first prize in the Book Week parade?".
