Raising Concerns with REACH: Medical Webinar
Event description
When your child is in hospital, speaking up can sometimes feel intimidating, especially when you're feeling unsure, overwhelmed, or like no one is listening. But your instincts are powerful, and you deserve to feel confident that your concerns will be taken seriously.
We’ll be joined by Paul Hudson and Paul Hunstead, together they’ll introduce you to REACH, a program developed by the NSW Clinical Excellence Commission that empowers families to speak up and partner with hospital staff when they’re concerned about their child’s health. It provides a clear, supportive pathway for parents and carers to raise concerns and get the right help, at the right time.
We’ll explore
Speaking up when something doesn’t feel right and why your instincts matter
Practical steps to take if you feel you’re not being heard
When and how to use the REACH program in NSW hospitals
The vital role families play in hospital care and how your voice helps shape decisions
