Event description

Emotional regulation doesn’t always follow a straight line. For Autistic children, it often develops in unique ways, shaped by their environment, relationships, and sense of safety. In this session, we’ll reframe what emotional regulation really means and discuss how to support our kids with curiosity, compassion, and connection as they grow.

In this peer group we’ll explore
• How emotional regulation unfolds in Autistic children
• What co-regulation looks like with older kids
• How to stay connected and supportive during meltdowns or intense emotions
• Ways to nurture emotional safety and trust, even in tough moments

This group is facilitated by Kristy
Kristy is a proud mum to Dash, who is Autistic and has ADHD, just like his mum. She’s passionate about connecting with other families and celebrating neurodivergent joy and all the strengths that come with thinking differently.
