Kids in Nature Week @ CERES

Join us for Kids in Nature Week!

As part of Nature Play Week 2026, we’re inviting families to step outside, slow down, and reconnect with the natural world through hands-on outdoor experiences. At CERES Environment Park in Brunswick East, children and their caregivers will explore nature through playful learning, creative discovery, and sensory experiences designed to spark curiosity and build confidence outdoors.

To support different age groups, we’re offering morning sessions for ages 2–5 and afternoon sessions for ages 6–12. A parent or caregiver must attend with their child.

Session 1 | 10:00am - 12:00pm: Ages 2–5

Session 2 | 1:00pm - 3:00pm: Ages 6–12

Monday 13th April | Day 1 – Minibeasts & Wildlife Homes
Explore the hidden world of insects and small creatures. Children will discover local minibeasts, learn about habitats, and create simple wildlife shelters.

Tuesday 14th April | Day 2 – Forest Kids & Bush Skills
Build confidence outdoors through nature-based challenges, bush tools, and problem-solving adventures.

Wednesday 15th April | Day 3 – Nature Craft
Get creative using natural and recycled materials to make nature-inspired crafts and artworks. Children will explore textures, colours and shapes from the natural world while creating their own unique projects.

Thursday 16th April | Day 4 – Busy Bees & Pollinators
Children will learn about bees and other pollinators, visit the CERES beehives, and explore how these important insects support gardens, biodiversity and food systems.

Friday 17th April | Day 5 – Little Farmers & Gardeners (Joe’s Market Garden)
Children will explore Joe’s Market Garden through hands-on discovery, learning about plants, how they grow, and the living systems that support them, while building skills in planting, caring for, and observing the garden.

Cost:

$30 per child, per session

Please note: Any dogs attending must be kept on a leash at all times.
