NDIS Organisational Governance Essentials Masterclass - 20/02/2024
Event description
Develop practical strategies to future-proof your governance systems
We all know that effective organisational governance is necessary for the quality and safety of services provided to
NDIS participants. However, interpreting NDIS requirements and tailoring these to the size and scope of your
organisation can be tricky. Unfortunately, sometimes we only find out that our organisational governance
systems need work when something goes wrong.
In this masterclass, we take a focused and practical view of NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Commission expectations for organisational governance in the key areas of risk management, incident management and complaint management and identify specific actions to proactively strengthen your approach to organisational governance.
You will gain the essential skills and confidence to identify the current state of your governance management system
and identify strategies for improvement.
Morning tea is provided.
What will you take away from this workshop?
- Consolidate your understanding of organisational governance expectations and future directions from the outcome of the Royal Commission and the independent NDIS Review.
- Review current areas of focus for compliance notices of the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission for registered Providers in relation to organisational governance and potential areas of risk for your organisation.
- Be supported to reflect on the way your organisation develops and reviews its organisational governance systems through discussion and networking with peers.
- Discuss proactive ways for NDIS Providers to respond to compliance notices and demonstrate commitment to improvement.
- Develop a sustainable action plan to address gaps and future requirements with a supplied tool.
