Neuk Create and Connect: Cat Cafe!
Event description
Our February meetup is a little different from normal - we are meeting in Edinburgh’s cat cafe, Maison de Moggy, to have a blether and make some feline friends. We have booked the whole cafe for an hour, so it will just be us and the cats!
This is a very flexible meetup - you can chat if you like, or you can simply interact with the cats. We will have some paper and pencils if you feel inspired to sketch the cats, or you can just play with them or sit and have a coffee in their company.
Amy and Tzipporah will be there to welcome you and to help out if anyone needs support. Please get in touch if you have any questions! Email edi-neuk@doorinthewall.co.uk.
Please note that priority for spaces will be given to Neuk Collective members. You can join Neuk here.
This meetup is FREE, but you might want to buy yourself a hot drink and/or piece of cake while you are there.
Please note: There are only 16 places available on this visit. If you book a place and then realise you can no longer make it, please cancel your booking so that someone else can take your place!
Accessibility:
- Please note that the cat cafe is wheelchair accessible but the bathroom is not yet adapted with bars and handrails, although it is large.
- There is a step in the middle of the cafe. However they say on their website that they can make adjustments to ensure you still have an enjoyable visit, so please get in touch in advance if you have any concerns and we can talk to them for you.
- Customers are invited to take off their shoes, or shoe covers are provided.
What the cafe says about the cat experience:
‘We offer a cosy, homely café experience where customers can relax in feline company whilst enjoying the purrfect cuppa!’
‘We love the therapeutic qualities that cats can offer our customers and the different personality traits displayed by the various breeds. Above all, our attention is focused on the wellbeing of our cats and creating a stimulating, stable environment for our family unit to thrive’
