Observing Oddities: Still Life Drawing Club (Every Fourth Tuesday!)

**OBSERVING ODDITIES IS ON THE FIRST WEDNESDAY THIS DECEMBER! We'll be back to 4th Tuesdays in 2024!**

Welcome to Observing Oddities: a drawing club for people who enjoy drawing from life, who like making art in the company of others, and who want (or need) some dedicated time set aside to finally get pencil-to-paper. We all know SCRAP's got the weirdest stuff around, so each club meeting, all of you artists will arrive to a large, unique still life made up of tzotchkes, oddities, curios, and even some of the still-life classics (think vases and fruit, maybe a skull if we're lucky) set up in the middle of our studio. It's up to you to pick which part to draw, and how many sketches to make! ✍️💀🍇

No experience required; all skill levels very much welcome. (It's casual! It's just practice!) 😊 We'll provide the drawing tools and some paper, but folks are encouraged to bring their own sketchbook and their own pens/pencils, too.

Ages 14+.

To save a seat before club night, tickets can be purchased in advance through Humanitix. We suggest a donation of $5! SCRAP prioritizes access to affordable art materials and expressions, so if the ticket price poses a hardship, just pay what you can. If you would like to make a larger contribution and cover someone else's ticket, please select the Pay It Forward ticket type and know that your contribution helps spread access to creative reuse and creative community-making! All event ticket sales are final and non-refundable. If you cannot make it to the event, please feel free to send a friend in your place. If you are unable to do that, we still cannot refund your ticket, but you could think of your payment as supporting our SCRAPpy little creative reuse non-profit! We appreciate your support and understanding!
