OPEN CHRISTHCURCH 2025: Christ Church Cathedral
Architects: Sir George Gilbert Scott, 1865; Benjamin Mountfort, 1881 & 1894; Warren & Mahoney, ongoing
Where: Cathedral Square, Christchurch Central City (The meeting point will be sent to registered attendees)
Enjoy an opportunity to get behind the fences and inside the cathedral. The design by star architect Scott, a prolific exponent of the Gothic Revival style, was implemented by another, Benjamin Mountfort. Take in the interior, now that the scaffolding is down, on an expert-led tour. You must be 12 years or older to attend, and wear sturdy, covered shoes. PPE provide

Important things to know when visiting Christ Church Cathedral:
- Construction site, may be inaccessible to some visitors
- This site is not suited to visitors with additional mobility needs, use wheelchairs or other mobility aids, or who are unstable on their feet
- You must 12 years or older to attend
- No seating on site
- Flat, closed toed shoes suitable for walking are required
- Construction site, may be inaccessible to some visitors
- PPE will be provided
