Optimising the mundane: Creating an unforgettable customer experience

Electra Business Breakfast – B2B networking – Sponsored by Electra

Nau mai haere mai Electra Business Breakfast is looking forward to welcoming customer experience specialist, Briar Franks of WellingtonNZ and the team from the Electra Business & Innovation Awards.

Briar is going to talk about how we can add magic to the customer experiences we create in our businesses so we can optimise the mundane and create something unforgettable.  She encourages you to think about your Qs now as she will take as many as time will allow on the day.

The Top Shop Award is based on customer experience, that’s right your customers will decide the winner of this Award, not the Judges.  Angela Buswell, Board Member of Business Kāpiti-Horowhenua Inc who run the Electra Business & Innovation Awards, will wrap with the terms and conditions of entering the Top Shop Award this year.

See you there! Book early to avoid disappointment.

    COVID UPDATE RED/WHERO
Electra Business Breakfast can operate at Phase 3 of the Red/Whero traffic light under the NZ Covid-19 Protection Framework with up to 100 guests with vaccine passes required, and mandated masks inside a public venue or facility except when eating.

For Electra Business Breakfast to operate it is critical that we comply with Government regulations as Southward Car Museum has put the Breakfast on notice they will not accept our hire bookings if the organiser and their guests do not comply with all requirements of the Red settings, particularly around being masked and adhering to 1m social distancing. Thanks in advance as we know it’s not easy to navigate living with Omicron in our community however the Red setting is designed to keep the wheels of life and business going in a positive yet safe way for everyone.

Please have your vaccine pass ready for scanning on arrival, use the sanitiser provided and scan in.  For those that can’t scan, don’t worry, we have a record of all bookings meaning we can supply attendance names and phone numbers to Covid tracers if required.

The caterer will serve tea or coffee on arrival, and you will be seated at a table of six to allow 1m social distancing. Each table will be served a plated breakfast from mobile buffets operated by the caterers who will be masked.  This will provide plenty of masked networking time while you wait for service at your allocated table.  While eating, you must remain seated and separated yet you can move around when you are not being served or eating.  However, please remember, 1m social distancing at all times and refrain from handshakes, hugs, kisses and hongi.  When the crew ask you to be seated and masked, please follow our instructions at all times for the safety of you, the crew and the venue, ka pai.

We will keep you informed along the way of any changing circumstances, and if Covid prevents us from operating, we will reschedule first and then transfer or refund tickets as needed.  Please note our booking capacity is reduced to 78 while we remain in Red.

If it’s been three months since your second dose, get boosted for you, your whānau, your community, and please don’t attend if you have recently been at a location of interest or if you are feeling unwell.  We look forward to seeing you all soon.

    About the Speaker:

Briar Franks, Guest Experience Manager, WellingtonNZ

Briar is the Guest Experience Manager at Venues Wellington where she contributes to making the Wellington region wildly famous.

Born and bred in the Horowhenua, Briar has both national and international experience ranging from retail to education to performing arts and everything in between.

Through her internship with Walt Disney World, she has since adopted their practice of the four keys to create the ultimate customer experience – safety, courtesy, show and efficiency.  Perhaps the most unexpected finding for her when evaluating Disney’s penchant for “magic” is the focus on process – the drive and ability to optimise the mundane.

Her career thus far has been a marriage of her two favourite things – people and the performing arts and she is on a continuous mission to find new ways to go above and beyond and bring the magic for guests and customers alike.

Electra Business Breakfast is an independent networking programme that seeks to INSPIRE, CONNECT and ENGAGE where everyone is welcome.
