    How to Overcome Self-Sabotage

    Event description

This workshop is based on one of the stand-alone modules in our popular UNFCK Yourself and Find U program.

You do not need to complete the program to get massive benefit from this workshop.

So, what is self-sabotage? Well, according to the Miriam-Webster Dictionary, it’s “the act of destroying or damaging something deliberately so that it does not work correctly” or “an act or process that hampers or hurts”.  Yup, we can all relate.

You’ll know if self-sabotage is negatively impacting you because life will feel hard. The things that you value are being put aside while you deal with crisis after crisis.  You may always feel like you’re in constant damage control or continually walking on eggshells.

Self-sabotage takes us further away from who we really are, in favour of being who we need to be to keep the peace, avoid confrontation or preserve our safety.

    Any of these sound familiar?

    Procrastination

    Defensiveness

    Controlling

Always setting the bar higher than you can reach

Blaming other people and situations for your circumstances

Not being able to open up, or get close to others

    Inability to ask for help

    Negative self-talk

    Staying silent

    Fearing change

    Not following through

Self-soothing with shopping, overeating, alcohol or substance abuse

And anything else that makes you feel like crap.

In this bitesize workshop, you'll learn why we self-sabotage and the thought patterns that can lead to it, as well as the one simple tactic you can use to overcome self-sabotage on the spot!
