About the Course:

This is a one-hour education course focusing on how to start talking about advance care planning and understand what is important to someone at the end of the life phase.  

Why attend?

The way we care for our dying reflects the humanity and compass of our society. Through training, we can create resilience, understanding and capacity within our community, helping us care for others.

Who can attend?

The course is for all members of the community and there is no requirement for training or experience within the health or palliative care space to attend. Thile not directly targeted to health professionals, we welcome the attendance of everyone interested in these areas.

What topics are covered?

  • Why what matters most is important?
  • How do we know what matters most to people  
  • How to tell others what matters most
  • Fulfilling what matters most for others

Health professionals can earn 1 Continuing Professional Development (CPD) point for completing this event and 7 for completing the PalliLEARN course.
