    Event description

New for 2023! Dive into the depths of completed qualitative research projects with our Project Dive sessions. In our very first Project Dive session we welcome Elna Tulus. Elna is in her last year of PhD candidature at the University of Technology Sydney, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. She is a member of its Climate Society Environment Research Centre (C-SERC) and Diversities & Social Inclusion Research Group (DSIRG). Her research is focused on the sustainability of the global food system situated within the current epoch of current multiple world crises. The vulnerabilities manifested from uneven development across geographies are reflected in the case study of her research on Australian wheat and Indonesian instant noodles. By focusing on how the globalization of food affects society through politics, economy, and the environment, her research draws the interconnections to demonstrate the consequence resulted in population health.

In this session Elna will walk us though the methods she used to collect, analyse, and report on her project's findings. Elna will not focus on the main outcomes of her research, but rather on her qualitative data analysis journey. Elna will share her qualitative data analysis tips, tricks, unexpected surprises and key learnings while working on this project. There will be plenty of time for Q&A with Elna.
