Join us for an interactive workshop that builds on our previous thematic analysis events, and starts the Qualitative Data Analysis series for 2025! This session will focus on Braun and Clarke's thematic analysis method, with a particular focus on Big Q and little q in qualitative research. 

Dr Erin Turbitt will review the basics of Braun and Clarke's method and compare it with other thematic analysis approaches. We'll explore the differences between Big Q and little q thematic analysis, examining how they are applied in various research scenarios. 

Learning Outcomes: 

  • Differentiate between Big Q and little q thematic analysis 
  • Clarify common misconceptions about thematic analysis 
  • Understand contemporary applications of thematic analysis
