Deputy Secretary, Road Maintenance and Resilience
Matt Fuller leads Transport’s newly established Road Maintenance and Resilience (RMR) team, a division committed to improving the safety, reliability and resilience of NSW’s road network to better connect our communities and move freight efficiently.
The division works in partnership across Transport and has accountability for, effective road asset management planning, the delivery of road renewal and road safety improvement programs, the delivery of maintenance activities. It also works with government partners to strengthen our ability to respond and recover following natural disasters.
The RMR team has over 2,000 people spread across over 70 locations throughout NSW from the Sydney Harbour Bridge to the state borders.
Matt has been part of Transport’s leadership team twice, since first joining Roads and Maritime Services in 2017, with a stint back in the private sector during 2020 – 2022. Since his return, and prior to RMR’s establishment in late 2024, he led the Regional & Outer Metropolitan team. Matt has had an extensive career in executive management positions within the private and public sectors across Transport, Tourism, Hospitality and Leisure.
