RCAA 2023 Conference
Event description
Since 2019 RCAA has plugged the gap between need and settlement services, provided a link between government and refugee communities and helped build their capacity. Now we are showcasing refugee communities at our inaugural conference in Melbourne in September 2023.
Our conference themed Building on the Foundation of Lived Experience, will bring refugee communities together with various stakeholders to begin a conversation, share knowledge and advance the capacity of people with lived experience to join with RCAA in achieving our vision.
The conference provides RCAA the opportunity to develop the capacity of our communities, amplify their voices and focus on their lived experience of settlement in Australia. It will also allow us to engage with our partners to understand and align our shared objectives by co-designing, co-delivering and jointly evaluating for the benefit of all.
The conference will be held on Wurundjeri Country in Melbourne, and we invite delegates including multicultural communities, refugees, migrants, asylum seekers, governments, settlement services and businesses from across Australia and internationally to register and join us at this significant event.
The conference program will span 2 days and will be complimented by a Gala Dinner on 20th September.
