Event description
Reclaiming Life: Thriving in a Digital World
Monday, May 12th and Monday, May 19th | (two sessions)
6:30 to 8:00pm |$10
Location: Journey to Hope
This presentation will discuss the effects of digital media on mental and physical health, relationships, and communities.
We will also focus on the research outlining the effects on increased technology use and the shift away from a play-based childhood on today's kids. The goal of the presentation is to develop strategies to help ourselves (and our children) approach technology with more intention.
Meet the Presenter: Kate Tuttle
Kate has a bachelor's degree in psychology (Hanover College) and a Ph.D. in social psychology (University of Michigan). She has worked as a psychology professor and in a wide variety of fields, including market research, institutional research, and grant writing. As a mother to three children, she's grown passionate about understanding the effects of technology in the lives of adults and children. When she's not spending time with her family, you can find her running, reading, or walking her (occasionally obedient) golden retriever.
