Event description

The popular and impactful Reconciliation Yarns return for the 2023 Everlastings Kings Park Festival. They will be held at the Yorkas Nyinning building in the beautiful surrounds of Kaarta Koomba (Kings Park).

The yarning circles will be co-facilitated by an Aboriginal Leader and a reconciliation ally, creating a safe space to yarn about reconciliation, the 2023 NRW Theme, Be a Voice for Generations and The Voice to Parliament.

Guest Co-Facilitators: 

Wednesday 27 September, 2:30pm to 4pm: Tony Hansen, Aboriginal Co-Chair, Bringing Them Home WA and Stolen Generation survivor; and Professor Fiona Stanley AC, Australian of the Year and Reconciliation Advocate. 

Friday 29 September, 9:30am to 11am:  Leone Cottam-Williams, Director, Aboriginal & Torre Strait Islander Engagement, Anglicare; and Mandy Bamford, Ecologist/Zoologist, Consultant on Boorna Waanginy/The Trees Speak
