ABOUT THE EVENT

Are you looking for your next employee or apprentice?

Redlands Jobs Connect – Automotive connects local automotive employers with apprenticeship-ready candidates, recent school leavers and motivated job seekers interested in building a career in the industry.

The event offers employers an efficient and informal way to meet local candidates face to face, discuss current and future workforce requirements and start building a recruitment pipeline for 2027.

WHY ATTEND?

Participating employers can:

• Meet motivated local automotive candidates

• Discuss current and upcoming vacancies

• Identify candidates for apprenticeships, employment or work experience

• Build a pipeline for current and future workforce requirements

• Promote your business and career pathway opportunities

• Support the development of the Redlands automotive workforce

We welcome representatives from:

• Automotive dealerships

• Mechanical workshops

• Heavy-vehicle and diesel businesses

• Auto-electrical businesses

• Panel beating and vehicle-body repair businesses

• Tyre, parts and automotive-service businesses

• Group Training Organisations

• Apprenticeship and training providers

• Other automotive-related employers

WHAT TO EXPECT

Following a brief employer welcome, participating employers will meet small groups of candidates in an informal, facilitated networking format.

Employers will be encouraged to:

• Introduce their business

• Explain current and future workforce needs

• Discuss apprenticeship, employment and work-experience pathways

• Answer candidate questions

• Gather candidates' resumes/profiles

• Identify suitable candidates for follow-up

• Advise the RJC of interviews, work trials, placements, employment or apprenticeship outcomes arising from the event.

• Connect with other local automotive employers and industry representatives from MTA Queensland for a drinks and nibbles session at the end.
