Event description
Relief in Motion – Gentle Qigong for Soothing Pain and Finding Calm
Six bite-sized, 30-minute sessions designed for people living with fibromyalgia, chronic pain or fatigue, arthritis and other rheumatological conditions. Move kindly, breathe deeply, and finish each class feeling lighter in body and quieter in mind.
Relief in Motion is a pocket-sized Qigong journey that respects tender joints and limited energy. Across six live 30-minute classes you’ll learn calming breathwork, joint-lubricating circles, coils and rolls, and meditative flows drawn from White Tiger Qigong and Taoist healing traditions. Each sequence is low-impact, easily modified and backed by modern insights into nervous-system regulation. You’ll finish with a personalised mini-routine you can repeat in ten minutes a day to soothe pain, dial down stress and invite gentle vitality.

What you’ll walk away with – and why it matters
Key takeaway | Why it’s valuable for tender bodies & busy minds
1. A ten-minute “pain-pause” routine you can do anywhere | Short, repeatable sets build habit, fit fatigue windows and provide on-the-spot relief during workdays or flare-ups.
2. Techniques to dial down the fight-or-flight response | Breath-led movement activates the vagus nerve and parasympathetic system, which research links to lower pain perception and anxiety.
3. Joint-lubricating circles & soft spirals | Gentle range-of-motion drills hydrate fascia and ease morning stiffness without overloading arthritic or inflamed joints.
4. Low-impact strength for postural support | Micro-engagements strengthen stabilising muscles that protect sore hips, knees and spine, improving daily comfort.
5. Breathwork that boosts calm energy | Breathing techniques to enhance oxygen uptake and circulation, giving a light “energy lift” minus post-exercise crashes common in CFS/FMS.
6. Self-compassion & pacing strategies | You’ll learn to read early warning signs, choose seated/standing/bed options and avoid the boom-and-bust cycle.
7. A supportive community & expert guidance | Live chat and replay Q&A connect you to peers and a certified White Tiger Qigong instructor who has supported many students managing chronic conditions and whose approaches are grounded in current pain-science insights and gentle-movement research. |
