In this panel session led by PVC Research Professor Chris Turney, we will explore what it means to be a good research leader and what it means for those you lead. This engaging session brings together UTS research leaders Professor Stella Valenzuela, Professor Simon Darcy, and Associate Professor Ramona Vijeyarasa to explore the multifaceted nature of effective leadership in research environments. Through a dynamic exchange of ideas, experiences, and perspectives, our panelists will address the key attributes that define good research leadership, including the ability to inspire and motivate teams, and foster a research culture that allows innovation and collaboration to thrive. As we delve into these critical themes, they will share their insights and strategies around how to be a good research leader. This promises to be a valuable and open discussion with the audience and we will have plenty of time for questions and wider discussion.
