Event description

Italian culinary specialist, Julia Cushing, and AtoZ chef, Jeff King, lead a visit to “Rome” at the AtoZ kitchen in Santa Barbara. Class begins with a shared antipasti of fried pizza bread with garlic, olive oil, and anchovy, paired with prosecco. Then participants put on aprons and get to work making a Roman-style menu comprised of Carciofi alla Giudia (Jewish-style fried artichokes), gnocchi in broth with English peas and asparagus tips, and for dessert, inspired by the film, “Roman Holiday,” chocolate-hazelnut gelato. Wines from Italy served during the communal meal.
