Words will never be enough
Words will never be enough to express how grateful we are for all that you did to help prepare us for the birth of our little one.

Second time round is a strange one. You already know what contractions feel like, the corridors, the timing app, the moment your waters go, or what c-section recovery actually takes out of you. What you don't always get is space to think about it properly, with a toddler needing dinner and someone needing picking up from nursery, and feeding and sleep this time round are a whole different kind of figuring out.
This event is a hypnobirthing refresher built for second and subsequent pregnancies. We start from what you already know, and there's time to talk through what you'd like to be different this time.
What we'll cover
๐ค Breathing techniques revisited, and adapted if last time breathing alone didn't carry you through
๐ค How fear and tension interrupt labour hormones, and what that looked like for you last time
๐ค Positions for labour and birth, especially useful if you were induced, augmented or ended up on your back last time and want more choice this round
๐ค BRAIN, the questions to ask before agreeing to anything offered, with your own history in mind
๐ค Faster labours, and how to recognise you're further along than you think
๐ค Your birth partner's new role, there for you and also managing things at home
๐ค Time to talk through your last birth, including if it didn't go to plan
To take home for your plan
The event is about the birth itself. You'll also leave with prompts for the other things worth thinking about before the baby arrives, so you can work through them in your own time. These include feeding again after a gap or feeding two, sleep with a newborn alongside an older child's routine, questions to ask your midwife about VBAC if that's relevant, and who has your older child when labour starts.
What's included
๐ค 90 minutes, in a small group
๐ค A downloadable guide afterwards, with the hypnobirthing exercises from the evening and your planning prompts
The Brunch
Afterwards we move into the tea room for the Cartlands Breakfast Tea, included in your ticket. Fresh orange juice, buttermilk crumpets, warm scones with clotted cream, macarons, patisserie and fruit, with tea, coffee or herbal tea. Tell me about any dietary needs when you book and I'll pass them on to Cartlands.
Who this is for
Mums only for this one. For anyone due from late December 2026 onwards. Partner sessions can be booked privately if this is something you would like
No. This session works whether you did a course with me first time round, did nothing formal at all, or trained with someone else entirely. It's built to meet you wherever you're starting from second time.
This particular evening is timed for mums due from mid-December 2026 onwards, so the content stays relevant to where you'll actually be by the time you give birth. If your due date is earlier, private 1:1 hypnobirthing is available any time, or get in touch and I can let you know about future dates.
This evening is designed with exactly that in mind. There's space built in to talk through what you'd want to be different this time, whatever that birth looked like.
The price covers the session and your breakfast tea, including a cold and hot drink.
There will be opportunity to add details to your booking form which will be accomodated by the tearooms catering.
There are two free car parks within the grounds of Kings Heath Park.

Thanks to her I had the calm, semi-natural birth I wanted. She tailored the course to us, told us things we weren't aware of, and made us aware of our rights which gave me confidence.
