Snorkelling for Intermediate at Gordons Bay - 30 January 2026

NOT FOR BEGINNERS!
Join expert marine biologist and PADI Dive Instructor Will Jones for an unforgettable snorkelling experience at Gordons Bay.
As an intermediate snorkeller, you'll refresh on proper equipment use and master effective techniques while exploring and discovering the unique, diverse marine life of the protected reefs in Sydney’s East.
Look out for the famous Blue Gropers and Port Jackson's while you learn about and experience the diverse marine life in these protected near-shore reefs in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs.
Participants must be able to swim a minimum of 50 metres.
Snorkelling gear provided as part of this activity. Wetsuit recommended.
Meet on the east side of Seasalt Cafe at Clovelly Beach.
We will walk to Gordons Bay following a 30-minute introductory talk on the marine life in the area and a briefing on the snorkel equipment.
Please allow time to park and find the group.
Conditions:
Minimum age 8 years
Participants must be able to swim a minimum of 50 metres
Children under 16 years MUST be accompanied in the water by an adult
A ratio of 1 adult per 2 children
All participants need to pay for the activity
Refunds provided up to 48hrs prior to the event start time
Activity may be moved to Little Bay Beach depending on surf and weather conditions.

Photographs, videos and voice recordings
Randwick City Council staff may on occasion take recordings of participants during activities (including photographs, videos and voice recordings) that could be used for the following purposes:
educational or community information purpose
Council displays and promotions of community education events
to complement the promotion of Randwick's Marine and Coastal Program.
If you DO NOT wish for the participant’s recording to be used according to these conditions, please indicate this during the booking process.
Cancellation conditions
This activity may be cancelled due to insufficient bookings or poor weather. Participants will be advised in the event the activity changes or cancellation occurs. All care has been made in the preparation of the January 2026 Marine and Coastal Discovery Program, but some changes may occur due to circumstances beyond the control of Randwick City Council. Refunds will be provided for paid activities up to 48 hours prior to the activity start and in the event of cancellation by Randwick City Council.
