Event description

Spring Energy Reset: Meditative Movement for Vitality & Flow

Drawing on the ancient art of Qigong to balance body, mind, and spirit

Sunday 28 September, 2:00–5:30 pm (includes tea break)
Venue: Riverdell Spiritual Centre, 51 Clifford Rd, Hillier SA 5116

As spring unfolds, nature begins to rise with fresh energy. Seeds sprout, green shoots stretch skyward, and a sense of renewal is in the air. This uplifting workshop will help you tap into that same seasonal vitality in your own body and mind.

Through gentle, flowing movement, mindful breathwork, and meditative stillness, you will learn simple yet powerful practices to:

  • Increase your energy and sense of lightness

  • Release stiffness and tension from winter

  • Activate the Liver and Gallbladder meridians to support flexibility and emotional balance

  • Strengthen the core and improve postural stability

  • Feel more connected, calm, and clear-headed

Rooted in the White Tiger Qigong tradition and the Five Element model of Chinese Medicine, this session is designed for all levels. Whether you are brand new to meditative movement or looking to deepen your seasonal practice, the movements can be modified for comfort and no experience is necessary.

Workshop Flow

  • Seasonal insights – how Wood element energy supports growth, creativity, and renewal

  • Gentle warm-up – spirals, stretches, and fascia activation to open the body

  • Meditative movement sequences – dynamic yet accessible flows inspired by White Tiger Qigong

  • Breathwork for balance – cleansing and energising techniques to support vitality

  • Guided meditation – a spring-inspired visualisation to help you set intentions and feel renewed

  • Closing integration – time to reflect, ground, and seal your practice

Seasonal Nourishment

Our tea break is more than just refreshment. It is a continuation of the practice, using flavours, colours, and textures that harmonise with the season of spring and the Wood element. The herbal blends and light snacks are chosen to support the Liver and Gallbladder, uplift the spirit, and reflect the fresh, rising energy of nature at this time of year.

Sip cooling Chrysanthemum & Goji Berry tea to soothe and nourish, or refreshing Peppermint & Lemongrass to awaken and lighten the senses. Accompanied by fresh, vibrant snacks that mirror the green vitality of spring, this is an opportunity to pause, taste, and absorb the season’s gifts from the inside out.
