“The Australian Funding Landscape” is a series of online workshops delivered by the Research Development Program with the aim of showcasing the diversity of opportunities available to UTS researchers in attracting external research funding.
The series began with an overview session, showcasing the breadth of the research funding landscape in Australia. Six follow-on sessions will follow on from this, each providing detailed insights into each funding opportunity type.
This is the registration page for the follow-on session ‘Stepping the stones - Australian grant opportunities for ECRs and MCRs’ convened by Stephan Waibel (UTS Research Office).
Stepping the Stones – Australian grant opportunities for ECRs and MCRs will be delivered as a Zoom webinar and continue the journey of finding appropriate levels of funding by demonstrating the use of Research Professional and providing an overview of the Research Impact Project Canvas. The session will also include case studies and a live Q&A session with researchers who have successfully attracted funding from a variety of sources.
Specific learning outcomes:
- Demonstrate an understanding of the Impact Canvas to formulate a research project and establish appropriate sources of funding.
- Demonstrate an understanding of and being able to use of Research Professional to set up a profile and perform searches.
- Ability to prepare a list of fund sources appropriate to the level of experience.
- Ability to identify appropriate levels of services and contacts at UTS in regard to research management support for ECR and MRC research grants.
