Tamworth Country Music Festival

Friday 20th to Monday 23rd January 2023

Join Port Bus for the 51st Tamworth Country Music Festival.

The Toyota Country Music Festival Tamworth is considered one of the most unique events in the world with over 700 artists performing across 100 plus venues as part of 2800 scheduled events. Over 70% of these events are free complimented by venues showcasing a variety of ticketed shows.

STAY TUNED FOR THE LIST OF ARTISTS ATTENDING THE 2023 TOYOTA COUNTRY MUSIC FESTIVAL

Day One:

Pick-ups commence by 08:30, meeting the coach at the Donut to depart by 09:15. Calling into Mt Seaview Resort for morning tea. The Clissold family has been associated with the resort since the early fifties offering meals, accommodation, quad bike tours + more. Our next stop is the Walcha Open Air Gallery, an ever-growing open-air exhibition of sculptures and artwork. Enjoy a Port Bus supplied picnic lunch while you check out the sculptures. Arriving in Tamworth around 16:00 we will check in to the EconoLodge Tamworth (located on the Southern edge of Tamworth and situated on 15 acres of lawns and gardens) for the next three nights. Unpack and relax with free time until 17:30 when we head into town for the opening night concert at Bicentennial Park, artists TBC.

Day Two:

Need a little sleep in after our big drive and night out so we depart at 09:55 for the Australian Country Music Hall of Fame. You will walk a country mile and view an unmatched collection of memorabilia from Australian country music artists and Tamworth’s musical history. Now back into town to enjoy more of the 2023 Country Music Festival festivities. Enjoy what you like where you like and even come home when you like!

Day Three:

After breakfast (and another slow start) we head over to the Big Golden Guitar. At 12 metres high and weighing over half a tonne, you won’t miss the Golden Guitar! Officially opened by Slim Dusty on 25th January 1988 it is a replica of the award presented to the artists at the Country Music Awards of Australia. Now back into town for our last day of the festival.

Day Four:

Departing by 09:00 we head on over to Nundle and visit the Nundle Woollen Mill. Are you ready to reconnect with Australia’s wool heritage? You will be fascinated to see the number of steps required to transform the raw material into a ball of yarn ready for knitting. All wooled out? Let’s change the pace to herbs! Hillview Herb Farm. Enjoy the picturesque and tranquil gardens that are filled with a variety of culinary and medical herbs along with a multitude of native plants and trees. Enjoy the talk, tastings, and a BBQ lunch before we move on to the Donut and commence our drop-offs around 17:30.
